Suddenly Single

Posted: October 25, 2014 in Uncategorized

I’m suddenly single. Well, not so suddenly, I guess. I’ve been separated for about a week and, today, I told him goodbye. I couldn’t get anything else out. My heart broke the same as it did when we separated. I sobbed into my pillow. What else could I do?

After a while, my tears slowed and I began to think of the reason we were breaking up. It’s not because I’m angry with him, it’s because I love him. I want him to get the help he needs. He can’t do it if he’s still tied to me. So, I let him go. I set him free to do whatever he chooses without considering me. All I can do now is pray that he chooses life, happiness and freedom.

I love him still…

All cuddled up to keep warm, waiting for mom to come back and feed them.

So, what are you? Do you live here too? Oh! Look! Another one!

Are you kidding? They live here now? What about us? What will happen to our way of life?

Why is my plate empty?

Make them stop eating my food!

Held back by a good thing

Sometimes, the things we think are good and healthy in our lives turn out to be holding us back from the growth we need.

For example, I know that my inner editor is a great thing when used at the right time. However, when I’m trying to get the words on the page, it’s a great hindrance. That’s why, for me, NaNoWriMo is a great experience. I can practice getting the words on the page without worrying about whether they are right or wrong, whether they flow properly or not, and get to the basics of the story. Then, when the story is on the page, I can go back and fill it in as needed.

What good thing is holding you back?

I think this may be a lot of fun for everyone who writes! Go do NaNo!!!!

I’ve become inspired to finish editing what used to be called Tior.

What is its new name? I’m not sure, yet. I had a name for it that I liked, but I forgot what it was. If it’s not memorable to me, how can I expect it to be memorable to others?

I have the first chapter up for critiquing and have begun work on the second chapter. I hope to have it finished to put up for critique by the end of the week.

It’s been a while…

Just for Today I will be the best person I can be.

Just for Today I will be the best person I can be.

It’s been a while since I posted anything, but I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching. I’m not gonna share everything I’ve been doing with you, but I do wanna share a few things.

I’ve been doing a lot of research, trying to find ways of bringing Cholontic to life for the reader. This has taken a lot of my time and energy, but I think I have the basics down and am ready to begin editing again.

Momma had surgery and everything went very well. She even got a thumbs up on her check up afterwards! Yay!

I’ve been taking a hand in the household more, so my writing is going to take a bit longer than usual.

My recovery has taken a bit of a front seat, too. I don’t see any reason to hide my recovery. I have been battling with drugs and alcohol since before I was a teenager. Today, I have a little over nine months in recovery. If anyone knows of a woman who would benefit from speaking with me, then put them in touch! I would be happy to help.

For those of you who are wondering, no my writing wasn’t any good while I was using…

Why is my plate empty?

Why would you think such a thing?
